Quick Overview of Empower

Empower Church Management Software stores, organizes, and utilizes your church’s data to make your ministry more efficient. We’re excited for you to begin better data management and pursuit of a more productive ministry.

How Empower Helps

As one of the first church software companies ever established, we have combined years of expertise with today’s most recent technology to produce a tool with unlimited possibilities.   Empower is a web-based Church Management System that loads on your phone, computer, or tablet and goes where you need it. It safely saves every bit of data crucial to your church body and allows you to access it right when you need it.

Empower equips you to not just collect and manage your congregation’s information but to use it to communicate, track trends, organize events, and care for your congregation better.  It is designed specifically for churches like yours to save time and energy: less time performing clerical duties and more time for ministry.

Empower is designed to simplify many of the processes that are burdensome to church staff.  Let’s walk through some of the key elements to see how powerful they are and how they benefit you.

Membership Overview

Keeping track of members’ information can be tiresome.  It’s always changing, and let’s face it, families can be challenging to keep up with! We understand.  That’s why we’ve created powerful Membership management.  This one little part of Empower can help you know and reach your members.

At the top navigation bar, hover and select Membership.  When clicked, a drop-down menu gives these options:  Households, People, Activities, Attendance, and Reports.  Households refer to a group of people who most likely live together, attend together, serve together, or give together.  Empower intentionally leaves room for your church to design and implement a membership structure that is familiar to your ministry.

Under Households, you can add and keep information on members, visitors, prospects, donors, and anyone else with a relationship to your congregation.  By adding people to a Household, you can keep contact information, family attributes, save notes, and even track attendance to key events.

Each Household is made up of individual People.  Empower also allows you to track essential information on a personal level as well.  Hover and click Membership, then click People from the drop-down menu.  In People, you can edit and input specific demographics on individual members, congregants, donors, and etcetera.  Once on the People screen, you will find tabs for editing information about these people.

People tool allows you to record and see everything from Contact to Donor Info, and even track things like visits to hospitals.  Never be without crucial information on the people that matter to your ministry.  This page is designed for quick reference to see and edit so that you spend less time wondering.

As you begin utilizing Empower, you might think, “I would love to track [insert any new attribute].”  We believe that would be great too!  The Households and People tools are entirely customizable.  Fields can be edited and added to best fit your ministry.  For more information on the ease of this, see the Support for those tools by clicking here.

Under the Membership menu, you can also track specific Activities, Attendance and run Reports with almost infinite possibilities.  Activities can be added, edited, and explicitly defined as your group desires to keep a record of.  To understand more about Activities and more on recording attendance, see these support articles:

The Membership tool is designed to equip the entire church staff to collaborate and be proficient in ministering.  Households and People give your team the ability to call, text, and email directly from the contact pages.   Attendance helps have a better understanding of who is where and when.  Empower has designed a platform to track what matters and use that information in the ways that matter.

Contributions Overview

You can tarnish a church’s reputation with bad financial practices.  At PowerChurch Software, we’ve built our reputation on helping churches keep the most accurate financial records possible.  When building Empower for you, our Contributions tool was designed for ease, accuracy, and utility.

When you hover and click on Contributions in the top menu navigation, you will find a list of options that help you enter, edit, and run reports regarding donors' giving, giving software integrations, funds, and a reporting tool that satisfies the most curious of analysts.

Empower’s Contributions tool allows you to enter individual contributions a donor gives. You can track not only the amounts given, but the date, funds, method, and more.  Once a batch of contributions is given, you will want to show that a deposit will be made. Empower will provide you with a deposit slip notating contributions’ details (check numbers, etc.).

Detailed information on Donors’ contributions, designated income by Funds, and other reports can all be found in the Contribution tool menu.  Reports can be run at any time for the internal understanding of trends of informative information to congregants.  As needed, donors can be provided Statements detailing their deductible and non-deductible giving record over the specified time-frame.
